Dancing Robots

On Wednesday we experimented with using Blockly, a coding app, to code Dash robots to play the xylophone.  Then we created a dance routine with our Dash robot and performed.  We also built our presentations showing our field trip to the Health Museum, published them to the web, and then used html code to put them on our blogs!

An Hour of Power at Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD

Opening eyes to their future- that's what the Hour of Code was all about. Students were able to sample what it means to be a computer programmer- one of those "you don't know what you don't know" times in the classroom.  Seeds of opportunity were planted  in 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade and I can't wait to see them grow!
